SaaS (1–12)

  1. "Too expensive / not in budget": "Totally fair — most of our customers said the same before they ran the numbers. What's it costing you monthly to keep [manual process/current tool] running? Our average customer saves [X hours/$Y] in the first quarter — usually more than the subscription itself."
  2. "Need to think about it": "Makes sense — what specifically do you need to think through: the price, the fit with your stack, or getting internal buy-in? Let's tackle that one now."
  3. "Send me some info": "Happy to — quick question so I send the right thing: is it the ROI case, the security docs, or a comparison to [Competitor] you need?"
  4. "We already use [Competitor]": "Good — that tells me you're sold on the category. Teams that switch usually do it because of [specific gap, e.g. native integrations]. Want to see that side-by-side?"
  5. "Need to check with IT/security": "Smart move — let's get ahead of it. I'll send our SOC 2 report and security questionnaire now so IT has zero surprises."
  6. "Not a good time": "Understood — is that a resourcing thing, or just not a priority this quarter? If it's timing, let's pencil in the right month now."
  7. "We tried a tool like this before and it flopped": "What happened — adoption, or the tool just didn't do what you needed? That tells me exactly what to prove before you commit again."
  8. "Not sure this works for a team like ours": "Fair — here's a customer in your exact vertical who had the same doubt. Want a call with them directly, no rep involved?"
  9. "Your price is higher than [Competitor]": "It can be — the difference is [e.g. we include implementation and support, they charge extra for both]. Priced in, what's the real gap?"
  10. "We're fine with our current spreadsheet/process": "'Fine' is doing a lot of work there. What would it take for 'fine' to become 'actually good'?"
  11. "I'm not the one who decides this": "Got it — who else needs to be in the room? I'd rather loop them in now than have you relay this secondhand."
  12. "Circle back next quarter": "I'll hold you to that — what changes between now and then? If nothing does, let's start now."

Insurance (13–24)

  1. "Premium's too high": "I hear that a lot — what are you comparing it to? A cheaper quote usually means less coverage, and I'd rather show you the gap now than have you find it at claim time."
  2. "Need to think about it": "Of course — is it the premium, the coverage limits, or wanting a second quote? Let's go through whichever it is now."
  3. "Send me the quote/policy details": "Will do — is price, coverage, or the carrier's claims track record the main thing you're evaluating?"
  4. "We already have coverage with [Carrier]": "Good, so you already value being covered. When did you last actually compare rates or coverage? People are often surprised what's changed in a couple of years."
  5. "Need to check with my spouse/partner": "Makes sense — big decision. Want me to walk through it with both of you together?"
  6. "Not a good time — busy season": "Understood, but claims don't wait for your calendar. Can we lock in coverage now and revisit the finer details when it's calmer?"
  7. "Bad experience with a claim before": "That's exactly why I want to walk you through what's covered — line by line — so there's no surprise if you ever need to file."
  8. "Not sure I need this much coverage": "Let's look at what you'd actually be on the hook for without it. Underinsuring usually costs more than the premium difference."
  9. "Your premium is higher than [Competitor]": "Possibly — what's their deductible and coverage limit? Cheaper premiums often mean exclusions that show up exactly when you need the policy."
  10. "We're fine with our current policy": "When was it last reviewed against your current situation? Policies that fit two years ago often have gaps now."
  11. "I'm not the one who handles this": "No problem — who manages the policy decisions? I'd like to walk them through the gap directly."
  12. "Call me back at renewal time": "I'll note that — but if rates are moving, waiting until renewal can mean fewer options. Want a placeholder quote locked in now?"

Real Estate (25–36)

  1. "Too expensive/out of range": "Got it — is it the list price itself, or the monthly payment? Sometimes we can restructure the offer to hit the number that matters."
  2. "Need to think about it": "Fair on a decision this size — price, location, or timing of the move?"
  3. "Send me the listing details": "Sure — are you further along on financing, or still deciding on the area?"
  4. "Already working with another agent": "Sounds like you're serious about this. What's been missing so far? I don't want to just repeat what you've already heard."
  5. "Need to check with my spouse/family": "Of course — want to loop them into the next showing so we're not relaying details back and forth?"
  6. "Not the right time to buy/sell": "What would make it the right time — rates, a life event, or wanting to see more inventory first?"
  7. "Tried before and it fell through": "What happened — financing, inspection, or the wrong property? That tells me exactly what to watch for this time."
  8. "Not sure this is the right neighborhood/property": "What's the actual dealbreaker — schools, commute, size? Let's separate must-haves from nice-to-haves."
  9. "Your commission is higher than [discount broker]": "It can look that way upfront — the difference shows up in negotiation and days-on-market. What's that worth on a home this size?"
  10. "We're fine renting / staying put": "What would have to change for moving to be worth it? The rent-vs-own numbers sometimes surprise people once we run them."
  11. "I'm not the decision-maker": "Got it — who else is involved? I'd rather walk them through it directly than have it get lost in translation."
  12. "Revisit next season/year": "I'll hold that — but inventory and rates shift a lot in that window. Want me to flag you the moment something matches?"

Finance / Financial Advisory (37–48)

  1. "Your fees are too high": "Fair question — what are you comparing the fee to? A lot of people don't realize what they're already paying in hidden fund fees. Let's put both side by side."
  2. "Need to think about it": "Makes sense for something this important — the fee structure, the strategy, or wanting a second opinion?"
  3. "Send me a proposal/plan": "Happy to — retirement timeline, risk tolerance, or fee structure: which matters most to you?"
  4. "I already have an advisor/broker": "Good, you're already thinking about this seriously. When's the last time you got a second opinion on performance and fees?"
  5. "Need to check with my spouse/partner": "Absolutely — want to bring them into the next conversation so we build the plan together?"
  6. "Not the right time — market's uncertain": "That's actually when a plan matters most — what feels uncertain: the market, your job situation, or the strategy?"
  7. "Tried an advisor before, didn't go well": "What happened — performance, communication, or feeling like you weren't a priority? That tells me exactly what to do differently."
  8. "Not sure I have enough assets for this": "Let's find out — a lot of people underestimate what a plan does at their level. Worth 20 minutes before ruling it out?"
  9. "Your fees are higher than [robo-advisor]": "They can be — what are you getting for that lower fee: less personalization, no human review during a downturn? Let's weigh that."
  10. "We're fine managing this ourselves": "Fair — how much time is that costing you, and how confident are you it's optimized? A second set of eyes is the value, not a takeover."
  11. "I'm not the one who handles our finances": "Got it — who does? I'd like them in the conversation so the plan reflects both your goals."
  12. "Let's talk after [event/next year]": "I'll hold that date — but want a light-touch check-in before then so we're not starting from scratch?"

Universal Closers (49–50)

  1. "I just don't think this is for us" (final catch-all): "Understood — before I let this go, can I ask what specifically doesn't fit? I'd rather hear the real reason than guess."
  2. Silence after a strong pitch (non-verbal objection): "I want to make sure I'm solving the right problem — what's the one thing standing between you and moving forward?"
