Sales Kickoff Session Feedback Scorecard

A structured, per-session scorecard for rating every SKO session on engagement, retention, and real-world actionability — plus an aggregate rollup and a post-kickoff pulse-check — so next year's agenda is built on evidence instead of who shouted loudest in the debrief.

What's inside

  • Per-session identification fields (title, speaker, track, format, date/slot)
  • 15 scored criteria across three dimensions: Engagement, Retention, Actionability (1-5 each)
  • Weighted subtotal + total scoring formula out of 75
  • Keep / Rework / Cut rating bands with numeric thresholds
  • Facilitator open-response prompts (best moment, where you lost the room, what to change)
  • Aggregate rollup table for comparing every session side-by-side after SKO week
  • Automatic-flag decision rule for sessions averaging below 45 across raters
  • Day-30/60/90 post-SKO retention pulse-check questions to validate what actually stuck

Purpose: Score every SKO session on whether it held the room, whether it will be remembered, and whether anyone can actually use it — not just whether people clapped.

Part 1 — Per-Session Scorecard

One copy per session. Complete with 3–5 rotating attendee-raters plus the facilitator.

Session details

  • Session title: __________________________
  • Speaker/facilitator: __________________________
  • Track (Product / Skill-Building / Strategy / Culture / Partner-Customer): __________________________
  • Date & time slot: __________________________
  • Format (Keynote / Workshop / Panel / Breakout / Roleplay lab): __________________________
  • Rater name & role: __________________________

Score each item 1 (strongly disagree) – 5 (strongly agree).

Engagement — did the room actually pay attention and participate?

  1. Attendees were visibly engaged in the first 5 minutes (not on laptops/phones) — ___
  2. The session included at least one interactive moment (poll, pair exercise, cold-call question, live roleplay) — ___
  3. Energy in the room was higher at the end of the session than the start — ___
  4. Facilitator adapted to the room (paused for questions, read the energy, didn't just read slides) — ___
  5. Post-session hallway/Slack chatter referenced this session specifically — ___

Engagement subtotal: ___ / 25

Retention — will people remember this in 90 days?

  1. The session had one clear, nameable takeaway (not five diluted ones) — ___
  2. The takeaway was tied to a named, repeatable skill or framework — not a one-off anecdote — ___
  3. When asked at the end, attendees could restate the core idea unprompted — ___
  4. Supporting materials (one-pager, recording, job aid) were left behind for spaced repetition — ___
  5. The session connected to something reps already knew — it built on prior training rather than standing alone — ___

Retention subtotal: ___ / 25

Actionability — can someone use this on Monday morning?

  1. The session included a specific instruction for applying it in a live deal — ___
  2. Attendees left with a reusable artifact (script, checklist, template) — ___
  3. The skill taught was demonstrated live, not just described in slides — ___
  4. A manager in the room could coach to this content without extra prep — ___
  5. This session's content is measurable in a rep's day-to-day metrics within 30 days — ___

Actionability subtotal: ___ / 25

SESSION TOTAL: ___ / 75

TotalRating
63–75Keep as-is next year — flagship session
45–62Keep the topic, rework the delivery
30–44Cut or completely redesign
Below 30Cut

Open response (facilitator or lead rater):

  • Best single moment of this session: __________________________
  • Where did you lose the room: __________________________
  • What would you change with the same topic next year: __________________________
  • Should this session return next year? Yes / Reworked / No

Part 2 — Aggregate SKO Rollup

Completed by the enablement lead once all scorecards are in.

SessionTrackEngagement /25Retention /25Actionability /25Total /75Decision
Keep / Rework / Cut

Decision rule: any session averaging below 45 across 3+ raters is automatically flagged for the cut-or-redesign pile — regardless of who championed it or how senior the speaker was.

Part 3 — Post-SKO Retention Pulse-Check

Send at day 30, day 60, and day 90 after kickoff — same three questions each time.

  1. "Name one skill from kickoff you've used in a real deal this month." (open text)
  2. "Which session's takeaway have you used the LEAST?" (dropdown of session titles)
  3. "On a scale of 1–5, how much of kickoff content do you still remember without looking it up?"

Read it this way: compare day-30 vs. day-90 recall. Sessions with the steepest drop-off are a stronger redesign signal than day-of engagement scores — a session can score a 70/75 in the room and still be forgotten within 60 days if it wasn't built for retention.

How to use it

Print one scorecard per session and hand it to 3-5 rotating attendee-raters plus the facilitator during SKO week; roll scores up within 5 business days and send the pulse-check at day 30/60/90 to see which "keep" sessions actually stuck.
